Richmond Walk Now for Autism Speaks September 29, 2012

As most of my friends know, my oldest son is on the autism spectrum.  He's high functioning, meaning he can read and function academically, but kinda sucks at the social part of life in general.  We've been raising money for Autism Speaks for 3 years now (since he was diagnosed).  This was our most successful year and I'm hopeful for next year.  If you'd like to donate for this year, you still can.  Click over to Thomas's Donation Page for 2012 to donate and come back to check out the pics from our day at Richmond International Raceway.  Thomas especially loves this walk because we walk on the NASCAR track at Richmond and, from the pictures, you can tell he's a Kyle Busch fan.

Thomas and his autism bear "Donut."

Playing at the bean bag toss.  He kicked my butt!

Samara waiting in the long line to get her face painted.

Charlotte snuggling with daddy in line for face painting.

The crowd waiting for the walk to start.

Off we go!

Finally getting her face painted when the walk starts.

Samara was still waiting for her face paint, so daddy threw her up in the air a few times.

Just look at that face!

Way too high for mommy's liking!

She has so much fun with her daddy

Charlotte's finished with her batgirl face painting...

 Now it's Samara's turn!

We had so much fun!  Thank you to everyone who donated and held fundraisers for us.  I appreciate all the help in making this a banner year for our family.  Hopefully one day we won't have to have these fundraisers, but until then, we'll keep fighting.  For Thomas, for everyone on the spectrum.  Because they ALL deserve to be heard.  Thanks for looking!
